Featuring:
David Shelby
Somewhere along the interstates and freeways between Nashville and Detroit, David Shelby mapped out his musical direction with the final destination to arrive at country radio with a sound all his own. Capturing the salt-of-the-earth and grit of Motor City, Michigan, the rock n’ roll history the culture is known for, and melding it with Nashville’s signature musicianship and storylines, Shelby created a sound he proudly identifies as “Rust Belt Country.” He is a performer wired for sound whose talents are branded by his roots—the heart of America, built on hope and tenacity for the future.
Jacob Lones
Jacob Lones has been performing music his entire life – from Gospel to Bluegrass to Country. He writes his own material and released his first single, “Fence Row Kids” in October of 2016. In July of 2017, along with the assistance of his producer Rusty Yanok of RTY Productions, he released his self-penned 6-song EP, Good Friends, Good Times and Moonshine. Lones tried to compile as many different songs on the project as possible, touching on everything from love and heart break, to family, to party songs.
Jacob Lones and his band enjoy putting on a big, high-energy show with smoke and lights, but they’re also extremely friendly and approachable when off stage and love to hang out with their fans at shows. The group plays covers that are powerful with guitar riffs similar to that of the style Jason Aldean or Brantley Gilbert. But, Lones has a more traditional sound with his originals and incorporates pedal steel, dobro and banjo into the music he was raised on. The band plays songs from many of today’s top country acts and everyone from George Strait to Johnny Cash and Luke Bryan to Cole Swindell, and still finds a little room for a Bon Jovi or Bryan Adams cover.
Audrey Ray
Growing up in the small town of Highland, Michigan country music singer-songwriter Audrey Ray made her move to the bright lights. Country music was always playing in her home and she was always encouraged to sing everywhere she went. Early on, Audrey was influenced by a wide variety of music from her father. She was very much influenced by tunes of Merle Haggard, Loretta Lynn, Patty Griffin and Steve Earle. After learning piano and playing for a number of years, Audrey found a new inspiration with the guitar. Thanks to her father, he taught her three chords and Audrey taught herself the rest.
Country music singer-songwriter, Audrey Ray, is quickly becoming a household name. Ray has performed numerous concerts throughout her hometown state of Michigan, and has even made a name for herself performing outside of Michigan as well. From touring all over Michigan to Cincinnatti, Ohio at Toby Keith’s I Love This Bar & Grill, to Fort Wayne, Indiana at The Rusty Spur Saloon, The Backroads Saloon in Marshall, Michigan, The Gate Bar & Grill in Big Rapids, Michigan and much more.
